“Whale Season on the Water in Maalaea” — The Panorama Beach House gives you the whole first floor of the house — newly renovated throughout — with nothing between you and Ma‘alaea Bay but your own patio.
The two bedrooms sit at opposite ends of the home, each with a king bed, so two couples (or a small family) get real privacy. In between: an open living and dining space made for slow mornings, long lunches, and sunset drinks as the light moves across the bay. In whale season (roughly December–April), humpbacks are part of the view — breaching, spouting, and cruising the bay you’re looking at.
This is positioned as a true high-end stay: arrive to a spotless, ready home, and on departure there are no checkout chores at all — no stripping beds, no dishes, no towel gathering. Just lock up. We handle everything else.

Direct bookings follow the same strict cancellation policy as our Airbnb listing:
- Full refund only if you cancel within 48 hours of booking and at least 30 days before check-in — both conditions must be met.
- 50% refund if you cancel 14–30 days before check-in.
- No refund for cancellations within 14 days of check-in.

Exploring Ma‘alaea
Ma‘alaea is Maui’s small harbor village on the bay — quieter than the resort strips, and in the middle of everything. Here’s what’s around you.
Ma‘alaea Harbor
A short walk from the house, the harbor is where Maui’s boat day begins — whale-watching, snorkel trips to Molokini, fishing charters and sunset cruises all leave from here.
Whale-watching tours
From December to April, humpbacks fill Ma‘alaea Bay. Watch them from the patio — or get closer on a tour boat out of the harbor, minutes from your door.
Maui Ocean Center
Hawai‘i’s aquarium, right by the harbor — a walk-through ocean tunnel with sharks and rays overhead, plus native reef life and sea turtles. An easy half-day, especially with kids.
Sugar Beach

Sunsets over the bay
The bay faces the evening light, so golden hour is a daily event here — from the patio, the lawn, or a harbor sunset cruise. In winter, watch for whales silhouetted in the last light.
In the middle of Maui
Ma‘alaea sits between Kihei and Wailea’s beaches one way and Lahaina and Ka‘anapali the other — and Kahului Airport (OGG) is only about 20 minutes away, so arrival day is easy.

3975 Maalaea Bay Place, Wailuku, HI 96793. Ma‘alaea sits in the crook of Maui’s south shore — central to the whole island, calmer than the resort strips, and famous for two things: the harbor’s whale-watching and snorkel boats, and the trade-wind afternoons that keep it breezy.
From the house you’re a short walk to Ma‘alaea Harbor and the Maui Ocean Center, and at the start of Sugar Beach — one of Maui’s longest uninterrupted stretches of sand, perfect for morning walks toward Kihei.

Jackie is a yoga teacher (hence the sunrise sessions), we keep the house to a very high standard, and we’ve set checkout to be effortless on purpose: this is a luxury stay, and luxury means you don’t do chores on your last morning.

What time are check-in and checkout?
Check-in is 3:00 PM and checkout is 11:00 AM. Entry is by smart lock with a private entrance — no key handoff needed.
Do we need to clean up before we leave?
No. There are no checkout chores at all — no dishes, no towels, no stripping beds. Just lock up. That’s deliberate: it’s a high-end stay.
Can we really see whales from the house?
In season (roughly Dec–Apr, peak Jan–Mar), yes — Ma‘alaea Bay is prime humpback water and sightings from the lanai are a highlight of winter stays. No guarantees from nature, but the odds here are excellent.
How do the yoga / training add-ons work?
Private sunrise yoga (45 min, 6 AM), personal training in the private gym, and a wellness consultation (nutrition + workout advice) are available to guests for an additional fee. Please inquire upon booking and we’ll arrange times.
What is the cancellation policy?
